WHY I PUT THIS INSTRUCTIONAL SERIES TOGETHER
Randy Rhoads is the entire reason I started playing guitar.

In my first guitar lesson, I made my teacher show me how to play “I Don’t Know”. I continued to learn every song he recorded with Ozzy, as quickly as I could. Everything else in my life became much less important compared to playing the guitar, and for the last 3 decades, playing the guitar has been the most important part of my life. That is all because of Randy Rhoads.

It’s been an incredible gift to have spent the last 5 years diving deeply into Randy’s playing on his first 2 records with Ozzy Osbourne.

With the isolated guitar tracks released from those records, it’s brought a lot of parts to light that never made it into tablature books. Though, there are some great tablature books out there, many of them are missing a lot of parts & unfortunately have some other parts wrong.

To get as close to what Randy played as possible, I spent almost 5 years putting together this instructional series, by listening to the slowed down isolated tracks, alongside cross referencing all of the trusted tabs out there.

I’m excited to share the results with you in these lessons.

There are several instructionals out there showing the notes that Randy played, and as odd as it may sound, the notes he played are only part of what made him stand out & defined his playing.

In addition to showing the notes & techniques that Randy played & used, I aim to help other guitarists understand the importance of passion in your playing & in your pursuit of music. Most importantly, the passion you have to have every time you pick up your guitar. That & that alone will help You stand out.
WHY RANDY RHOADS HAS INSPIRED SO MANY
What made Randy stand out of the pack so much, is the emotion he put into his playing. His absolute love for the Guitar & the desire he showed from an early age to be the best guitarist he could be, jumps out of the speakers.

He was also an intelligent musician. He understood the importance of certain techniques, that are used in various styles of music. From all accounts, at the time of his passing, he was ready to move on from Rock music & continue his evolution as a player & a musician.

I hope that all players from beginner to advanced & even those that have toured for decades use that as an example, that music will never let you down, as long as you stay committed to it.

Randy Rhoads was absolutely one of the most influential Guitarists in popular music. He always will be. Because of the music he wrote & recorded with Ozzy Osbourne, I've had music as the center of my life for 3 decades and counting. I will always acknowledge & honor him.
